ACME for U Rewards changes FAQs

What is changing with the ACME for U Loyalty Program?

As of April 1, 2024, we will simplify our program as follows:

  • We will have a single currency – Points will no longer be converted to rewards; members will earn Points only.
  • Members will have more time than ever to earn and use their Points with extended expiration - Points will now accrue over 2 calendar months instead of expiring within the same calendar month that they are earned. For example, if you earn 80 Points in April, they will carry over to May. If you earn an additional 50 Points in May, they will combine with earned April Points for a total of 130 Points. If unused by the end of May, the 80 Points earned in April will expire.
  • We haven’t changed the redemption options you’ve come to know and love – you can continue to use grocery rewards and gas rewards the same way you have done in the past- but we are introducing a new redemption option, automatic cash off.

What will happen to my rewards starting April 1?

Any Rewards you earn in March and haven’t used will be converted to Points (1 reward = 100 Points) and carried over to April. You will not lose any rewards that you have earned. Any Points you earned in March, including Points from the 4X bonus program, that have not converted to a reward will also be carried over to April. Your converted Points (and any new April earnings) will expire at the end of May. For example, if you have 1 reward in March, on April 1 it will be converted to 100 Points. If you earn 50 Points in March, they will carry over to your April balance. With those combined you will have 150 Points at the start of April. Any purchases completed in April on eligible items will be added to your Points balance. All converted and newly earned Points will display on the rewards landing page in your ACME Deals & Delivery app.

How long can I use my Points at ACME starting April 2024?

With our simplified program, you’ll have more time than ever to earn and use Points; Points can be accrued and used within a 2-month calendar period. For example, Points earned in April will expire at the end of May.

Will there be any new redemption options at ACME starting April 2024?

Yes, while grocery rewards and gas rewards are not changing, we are introducing a new, optional redemption option, automatic cash off. By opting in, Points will automatically convert to cash off at your next purchase. Every 100 Points will auto convert to $1 cash off at the time of checkout. Note that while opted in, members can continue to use Points for gas rewards.

Can my existing Points transfer over to automatic cash off starting April 2024?

Once you opt in for automatic cash off your existing Points balance will be used to accrue automatic cash off. Every 100 Points equals $1 off at your next checkout.

What will happen to grocery rewards clipped prior to April 1, 2024?

Rewards clipped prior to April 1 will maintain their existing process – once a grocery reward is clipped, you can continue to claim it by the claim date.

What happens if I unclip a grocery reward in April 2024?

If you unclip a grocery reward in April, and you hadn’t yet claimed your product, you will receive a Points credit to your account balance. These Points will expire based on when they were earned.

Points earned in March 2024 will receive a one-time exception and will expire at the end of May 2024.

What will happen to my account balance as a FreshPass subscriber in April 2024 and later?

As a trial or active FreshPass subscriber, your earned Rewards balance will convert to Points. Going forward, your Points will not expire as long as you remain a FreshPass subscriber.

What are the benefits of enrolling into ACME for U

Becoming a ACME for U member is free, easy, and offers access to the maximum level of savings. Why should I register for ACME for U?

Registering makes it easier to save on the items you already love to buy. ACME Markets for U provides personalized deals and coupons on your favorite items. All you have to do is add your selected personalized deals & coupons to your ACME Markets for U™  account either online or in the ACME Markets Deals & Delivery mobile app. Be sure to add offers to your loyalty account prior to shopping in-store or online and enter your phone number before checking out. 

Please note that using multiple accounts to exceed limits on offers and promotions is not permitted. We reserve the right to terminate accounts if we believe they are used for such activities.

What is the Birthday treat and how do I receive it?

At the beginning of your birthday month, qualifying ACME for U members will receive a birthday treat offer (up to $10 value) placed into their ACME for U account. It’s our way of celebrating our ACME for U members’ birthday!

To qualify for a birthday treat offer, simply add your birthday (month and day) to your ACME for U account and use your ACME for U account to purchase an item in-store or online within the last 12 months prior to the offer being added to your ACME for U account.

How do I receive a free item every month?

As a ACME for U member, you will receive an offer for a free item (up to $10 value) once per month. To receive a free item every month (up to $10 value), add the offer to your ACME for U account prior to the expiration date specified on the offer. You will be eligible to receive your first free item starting at the beginning of the month following the month in which you registered for ACME for U. You must redeem the offer in store or as part of your online transaction prior to the expiration date specified on the offer. To continue receiving monthly free item offers after redeeming your first monthly free item offer, you must use your ACME for U account to purchase an item in-store or online within the last 12 weeks of redeeming the offer. What if I don't have an email address?

A valid mobile phone number or email address is required for ACME Markets for U participation. You can get an email account for free through various email service providers. If you subscribe to email notifications, you will be notified when new offers are available.

Can I access ACME for U from my smart phone?

Yes, the best way to access ACME for U deals and rewards is through our ACME for U mobile app for iPhone and Android devices. You can add coupons and deals on the go, create your own shopping list, redeem your rewards, place an order for DriveUp & Go or delivery, discover Meal Plan Recipes (where available), and more. The ACME for U mobile app is FREE and available for download at the App Store and Google Play store. If you don’t want to download the app, you can also use your phone’s browser to view our website.

What is My List?

My List works as a shopping list that helps you plan your shopping trip at home and in our stores. Your clipped offers will automatically be added to My List, and you can also add your own items. Additionally, when you use the ACME for U mobile app, you can find items you previously bought in-store and items from your last online order.

What is the difference between ACME for U and FreshPass®?

ACME for U is our free loyalty program that offers you personalized deals, digital coupons, rewards, meal plans (where available) and more. FreshPass is our paid subscription program that offers many exclusive perks, like savings on grocery delivery, rewards that don’t expire and more. ACME for U Mobile App FAQs

How do I find my personalized deals in the app? 

To find deals in the app, follow these steps:

  1. Select the "for U Deals" icon on the top menu bar or select the “Deals+” icon at the bottom navigation bar. 
  2. Scroll to browse or select "Categories" to filter by product type.  
  3. Select the deals(s) you are interested in.  
  4. When you shop, be sure to input your Loyalty (phone) number at checkout; the savings from the deal(s) you’ve selected will be automatically applied. 

How do I find my clipped deals once I've clipped them?

To find your clipped deals in the app, follow these steps:

  1. Select "for U Deals" icon on the top menu bar or select “Deals+” icon at the bottom navigation bar. 
  2. Select “Clipped Deals” on the top menu.

Your clipped deals can also be found in the Wallet and My List sections of the app. 

Can I select deals straight from the Weekly Ad? 

Yes, you can. Select any deal you are interested in and add it to cart or to list. When you shop, be sure to input your Loyalty (phone) number at checkout; your savings will be automatically applied.

How do I find my Member Card in the app?

To find your member card in the app, follow these steps:

  1. Select the "Rewards" icon on the top menu bar or select the "Member" icon on the bottom right of your screen.
  2. Select “Wallet” on the top menu. 
  3. Your Member Card will appear with a QR code to scan at checkout. When you shop and scan your member QR code at checkout, any savings will be automatically applied. 

How do I access my Points balance in the app? 

To access your Points balance in the app, follow these steps:

  1. Select the "Rewards" icon on the top menu bar or select the "Member" icon on the bottom right of your screen. 
  2. If Points are available, your Points balance will show at the top of the screen. 

While in store, can I scan products to see if a deal exists? 

To scan products in the app, follow these steps:

  1. Select “Shop” on the bottom menu. 
  2. In the search bar select the bar code icon.
  3. Select either “Deals” or “Product” to scan the barcode. If a deal exists it will be shown or it will let you know that the item does not have a deal at this time. 

What is OCR and is it accurate?

We may use OCR for certain programs and promotions such as Meal Planning. OCR stands for “optical character recognition,” which is a technology that converts digital images into machine-readable text. OCR is designed to provide accurate text outputs; however, it may not always be accurate due to factors such as image quality, font type, and language variations. Users should verify OCR text outputs before using the converted text.

ACME for U Rewards FAQs

How do I earn Points? 
Earn Points by shopping at ACME Markets or other participating Albertsons Companies store locations or by shopping through our mobile apps or websites. To receive Points on purchases, be sure to use the registered mobile number or scan the Member Card in the ACME Markets Deals & Delivery mobile app at checkout: 

  • Earn 1 Point for every $1 you spend on groceries.
  • Earn 2 Points for every $1 you spend on gift cards.
  • Earn 1 Point for every $1 you spend on qualifying pharmacy purchases. 

Qualifying purchases exclude:   

  • Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.  
  • Fuel and automotive services.                                                     
  • Fluid dairy items in the refrigerated dairy section—including fluid dairy substitutes, depending on state and local laws. 
  • Other exclusions apply. The full list can be viewed in the ACME for U Program Terms & Conditions.

If a members valid ACME for U loyalty account is linked to an Instacart, DoorDash, or Uber account prior to completing a purchase, online purchases made through these marketplaces are eligible for earning ACME for U Points. 

How do I use Points and what can they be used for?  

Points can be used for the following: 

  • Free grocery items or tiered basket discounts e.g., 300 Points = $4 off, 1,000 Points = $15 off, etc. that are available to clip in the Grocery Rewards Gallery.
  • Discounts on gas at participating fuel stations:     
    • 100 Points = 10 cents off / gallon 
  • Automatic cash off
    • Every 100 Points will automatically convert to $1 off at your next checkout. 

To use Points for grocery rewards: 

  1. Go to the "Rewards" section of your ACME Markets for U app or website.
  2. Select your desired grocery reward(s) based on your available Points balance 
  3. The quantity of Points needed for the desired grocery reward will be deducted from your ACME Markets for U account once you select your desired grocery reward 
  4. Shop for your selected grocery reward item(s). Be sure to input your registered mobile phone number or scan the member QR code at checkout. 

To use Points for gas: 

  1. Input your registered mobile phone number at a participating gas station.
  2. Select YES to apply your Points.

    To use Points for automatic cash off: 
  1. Go to the "Rewards" section of your store app or website.
  2. On the automatic cash off banner, toggle to the “on” position to opt in.
  3. Once opted in, every 100 Points earned will automatically convert to a $1 off at the next checkout.
    • Note that while opted into automatic cash off, Points can still be used towards gas rewards.
  4. You can opt out from auto cash off at any time by toggling to the “off” position. Once opted out, you can again use your Points towards grocery rewards.

Do Points expire? 

Yes. Unused Points will expire within two calendar months, including the month they are earned. For example, if 100 Points are earned in January, those 100 Points will be available to use until the end of February. Points do not expire for FreshPass® (where available) subscribers. 

What do I need to know about using grocery rewards? 

Grocery reward redemption typically starts at 100 Points. To redeem grocery rewards, the registered phone number linked to the account must be used at the time of checkout for the offer to apply. Points are deducted from the account upon selecting an offer. Grocery reward offers typically expire at the end of each month, but product items and discounts may be claimed until the end of the following month. For items with multiple varieties, the offer will apply towards the lowest price variety. 

Once a reward offer is added to the account, members can claim it in our stores within the local geographical region resided in or through our online grocery ordering service. Offer cannot be doubled or combined with any other discount, offer, savings, or digital/paper coupon. Members pay sales tax on purchases made with the offer. Quantities are limited and subject to availability. We reserve the right to correct typographical, pictorial, and other errors. Online and in-store prices, promotions, programs, savings, discounts, and offers may differ. Offers have no cash value and no cash back can be given. Void where prohibited by law.

How do I reclaim Points? 

To reclaim Points on an item that has not yet been claimed, go to “Redeemed Rewards” under the Rewards section of our website, or follow these steps in the app: 

  1. Select the "Rewards" icon on the top menu bar or select the "Member" icon on the bottom right of your screen.
  2. Select “See Your Redeemed Rewards” or select “Rewards History” under selected Rewards at the top of the screen. 
  3. Select “Reclaim Reward” on the Reward(s) to de-select. 

Points from a reclaimed grocery reward will become available to redeem again shortly. Rewards cannot be reclaimed after the expiration date specified on the grocery reward offer.

Are there different types of Points for gas rewards and grocery rewards? 

No, members earn a single type of Points that can be used for discounts on gas at participating fuel stations or for discounts offered on eligible grocery items from Albertsons Companies grocery ACME Markets store locations and mobile apps. 

Can I use some of my Points for gas discounts and some for grocery discounts? 

Members may use some or all of them in an Albertsons Companies grocery ACME Markets store, mobile app, or website for discounted or free grocery items. Members may then use any remaining Points at a participating fuel station (up to the maximum allowable at that station). 

Is there a limit to how many Points I can earn? 

No. Members can earn an unlimited number of Points during each month. All Points earned will be valid for up to two months, including the month earned. 

How do I keep track of my Points? 

Members can track Points through the ACME Markets Deals & Delivery mobile app or website. Balances can also be viewed on your shopping receipt. Members can also go to “Rewards History” under the Rewards section of our website to see Points earned, Points used, Points reclaimed, and total Points balance. 

Can I pick up the discounted or free grocery item at any store? 

Discounted or free grocery items redeemed through Points can be picked up at the participating store selected within the ACME Markets for U Deals & Delivery mobile app or website. 

How long are the grocery rewards offers available? 

Grocery rewards are typically offered monthly. Once the offer is selected and those Points are used, members have until the end of the following month to claim that offer in-store or on the ACME Markets Deals & Delivery mobile app or website.

Where do I see my selected grocery rewards? 

To view selected grocery rewards, go to “Used Rewards” under the Rewards section on our website. Selected grocery rewards can be viewed in My List. On the ACME Markets Deals & Delivery mobile app, go to the Rewards page and select “See your redeemed Rewards”.  

Do I need to register to earn and use Points for gas or groceries? 

Program members using a mobile phone number (or previous Club Card number) in-store may earn Points and redeem gas rewards (for fuel). Members must have an account with an Albertsons Companies store to earn and use Points for groceries or auto cash off at any participating Albertsons Companies store. This can be the same account you used to get member special weekly prices when shopping in-store or through the ACME Markets Deals & Delivery mobile app for the store banner where you first signed up for, or it may be an existing online account. If members already have an existing online account through an Albertsons Companies store, there is no need to re-register. Once a member has an account, Points can be earned by entering the registered mobile number or scanning the Member Card in the mobile app every time at check out at any Albertsons Companies store location or on the mobile app or website.  

Can I combine earned Points across all Albertsons Companies grocery banner stores? 

All Points earned at participating Albertsons Companies grocery banner store locations and through our Deals & Delivery mobile apps or websites are combined. To receive Points on purchases, be sure to use the registered mobile number or scan the Member Card (in the ACME Markets for U mobile app) at checkout.

ACME for U Offer FAQs

Are ACME for U offers actually different for me compared to other customers?

Yes, this is because offers are based on your purchase history and organized for you, so you can save more on what you buy! 

How often are offers updated?

Offers are updated daily. Visit our website or ACME for U mobile app every time before you shop to get the most savings from ACME for U. If you subscribe to email notifications, you will be notified when new offers are available.

Once I’ve added offers to my ACME for U account, how long will it take for them to be available to redeem?

Offers can be redeemed at checkout as long as you add them to your ACME for U account prior to purchasing or claiming the applicable item. You may add offers to your account while shopping in the store; however, please note that new accounts require 15 minutes for activation. Sometimes a delay can happen depending on the quality and speed of your Internet connection.

I shop online. Do ACME for U offers apply there?

Yes, your current ACME for U offers will apply when you shop online, provided that the account you set up for our online grocery ordering service is linked to your ACME for U account. The savings will be reflected on your final receipt at the time of delivery or pickup. If you do not see your ACME for U savings reflected on your final receipt, or if you have any questions on this process, please contact our Grocery Delivery Customer Service Center toll free line at 1-877-505-4040.

How can I tell if an offer has been added to my ACME Markets for U account?

Go to “Clipped Deals” under the for U Deals section of the mobile app. The offer(s) will show as "Clipped." Your clipped deals can also be found in the Wallet and My List sections of the app.

How do I know I received my ACME Markets for U offer price for an item? 

It will be shown on your receipt. In most instances, the ACME Markets for U discount may be combined with other promotions, discounts, offers, coupons, and savings (if applicable). If such combinations are available, your discounted price can be found next to each item AND in the ACME Markets for U savings summary at the bottom of your receipt. 

What if an item goes on sale for a price lower than my personal price?

Our systems are designed to honor the lowest price for that item at the time of your purchase.

Can I combine manufacturer and store coupons with Personalized Deals?

Yes, you may combine manufacturer or store coupons with your Personalized Deals offers when shopping in-store and online, subject to terms and conditions of each coupon.

What if I add an offer, but I don’t get that price in-store/online or I cannot claim my discounted or free grocery items?

There are a few reasons why this might happen. You might have purchased or attempted to claim the wrong brand, kind, or size of a product (like buying a 12-pack of soda instead of a 6-pack). Also, sometimes there are minimum purchase quantity and/or other requirements that will be noted in the offer description. Accordingly, if you do not purchase the required minimum quantity and/or meet other requirements of the applicable offer, the offer or the offer price will not apply. If you have questions, please check with the store associate at the Customer Service desk. Or you can call our Customer Support Center toll free line at 1-877-258-2799 so they can investigate your transaction to determine the problem and to propose a solution.

What is the difference between unlimited and one-time offers?

Unlimited offers can be used in an unlimited number of transactions. One-time offers are limited to a single transaction. Some offers are subject to quantity limits, so please check offer details. All offers are subject to availability as not all items or varieties are available in all store locations.

For offers with a minimum purchase requirement (for example, $5 off when you spend $50), what items are excluded?

Excluded items are listed on the applicable offer description, but commonly excluded items from the calculation of minimum purchase requirement are: alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, fuel, all fluid items in the refrigerated dairy section (including fluid dairy and dairy substitutes), prescription items and co-payments, bus/commuter passes, fishing/hunting licenses and tags, postage stamps, money orders/ transfers, ski/amusement park/event/lottery tickets, phone cards, gift cards/ certificates, bottle/container deposits/redemption values, applicable taxes, and bag fees, if any.

Can I use offers added to my account in any store?

Once you add an offer to your ACME for U account, you can use it in the store selected in your account when you added the offer. To check if the offer is available in a different store, you can change the store in your account. Please note that not all items or varieties are available in all store locations.

Why don’t I automatically get ACME for U offers?

Our systems use your purchase history to sort through and organize personal price offers, hundreds of coupons, and all our weekly specials. But only you can determine if our systems got it right. That is why we ask that you select offers by adding them to your ACME for U account. As you add and redeem offers, our systems are improving their ability to sort through and personalize your offers. This will help us make the ACME for U program even more valuable to you over time!

ACME for U Account FAQs

How do I update my ACME for U account information?

To update your ACME for U account information, please go to the “Account Settings” section on our website, or go to “Account” under the Member section of the ACME for U mobile app. For further assistance, please contact our Customer Support Center toll free line at 1-877-258-2799.

Why do I get the message “You already have an account” when trying to register?

You will get this message when the system finds an existing account with the phone number or email address you entered. In that case, you can use the "Sign In" link instead of registering. If you forgot your password, you can try the "Forgot Password" link to have it reset. If you are still experiencing problems, contact our Customer Support Center toll free line at 1-877-258-2799.

We use two accounts in my house. How does ACME Markets for U work for us?  

Multiple ACME Markets for U accounts can be linked together to create a household. When such accounts are linked, Points earned are combined, and the same offers will be received, subject to the Terms and Conditions of the applicable offers. If you want to link or unlink your ACME Markets for U accounts, please contact our Customer Support Center toll free line at 1-877-258-2799. 

I just signed up for ACME Markets for U with my mobile phone number (or email address). How do I link my previous Club Card account to my new ACME Markets for U account?  

To link your Club Card account with your new ACME Markets for U account, use the chat feature within the ACME Markets for U mobile app or website. Locate the chat feature by selecting “Need Help?” under the Account section of the mobile app or by clicking “Questions” at the bottom right of the website. ACME for U Bonus Path FAQs

Where can I find my Bonus Path offers?

To check if a Bonus Path offer is available to you, go to the Bonus Path section of our website, or follow these steps in the app: 

1.       Select “Deals+” on the bottom menu bar 

2.       Select “Play & Earn” on the top launch pad. If available, an offer will be displayed in the Bonus Path section.   

3.       To opt-in, select the “Activate” button directly below the offer details.

 

How do I check the status of my Bonus Path offer?

Once a Bonus Path offer is activated, a progress bar will be displayed. As you make applicable purchases/actions toward your goal, the progress bar will be updated. You may also opt-in to receive email or push communications so that you can be updated on your progress.

 

Are certain items excluded from Bonus Path offers?

Qualifying purchases may be limited to certain categories, brands, sizes, or SKUs of products described in the Bonus Path offer. A qualifying purchase excludes: (1) alcoholic beverages and tobacco products; (2) fuel and automotive services; (3) bus/commuter passes, fishing/hunting licenses and tags, ski/amusement park passes, stamps, money orders/transfers, lottery/event tickets; (4) any financial instrument that can be redeemed for goods or services at participating Albertsons Companies banner stores - including (but not limited to) gift certificates, money orders/transfers, and gift or debit cards issued by American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, any bank, or any Albertsons Companies banner store; (5) phone cards; (6) fuel gift cards, including but not limited to Filling Participant gift cards; (7) fluid dairy items in the refrigerated dairy section—including fluid dairy substitutes, depending on state and local laws; (8) Prescription and OTC items at the Pharmacy counter, postage stamps, purchases from partner businesses and 3rd party sites (such as Insta Cart, Uber Eats, Door Dash), shipping charges, prior purchases, and any purchase where otherwise prohibited by law; and 9) Bottle/container deposits, applicable taxes, fees, and other charges. After completion, how do I receive my Bonus Path offer reward?

Once you meet the requirements described in your Bonus Path offer, the reward described in the offer will be added to your ACME for U account. Please carefully read the offer terms to understand how you will receive the Bonus Path offer reward and how it must be redeemed, as it may vary.   

 

 

ACME for U Pet Health Savings Card FAQs

What is the Pet Health Savings Card?

The Pet Health Savings Card is a discount card that can save you up to 80% on your pet's medications at participating pharmacies. Member terms and conditions are available at

How do I sign up for the Pet Health Savings Card?

You must have an active for U account to obtain the Pet Health Savings Card. In the Member section of the app/website, go to your wallet. From there, scroll to Pet Health Savings Card and select "Add to Wallet."

Do I earn Points on purchases made through the Pet Health Savings Card? 

Every $1 spent on qualifying pet pharmacy purchases = 1 Point. For pharmacy purchases, only your out-of-pocket pharmacy costs (e.g., prescription co-pays) are eligible to earn Points. 

Where do I find the Pet Health Savings Card?

The Pet Health Savings Card can be found in the Wallet section of the ACME for U app or website.

How do I use the Pet Health Savings Card?

Show the Pet Health Savings Card from the app/website to a participating pharmacy to receive the discount.

What if I have issues with my Pet Health Savings Card?
