Flents Work Ear Plugs - 1 Count
With case. Noise Reduction Rating: 33 decibels. Foam air plugs. Tapered for an easy, snug, comfortable seal. Information Required by EPA: The level of noise entering a person's ear, when a hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: (1) The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dBA. (2) The NRR is 33 decibels (dB). (3) The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to [92 dB(A) - 33] 59 db(A). Noise Reduction Rating: 33 decibels (when used as directed). The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers denote greater effectiveness). EPA: Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase. Label required by US EPA regulation 40 CFR Part 211 Subpart B. Noise Reduction Rating: 33. Lawn Mower: 107 decibels. With Protechs: 74 decibels. Extended exposure to any noise above 85 decibels can cause gradual hearing loss. The highest independently tested NRR. Questions? 1-800-328-2742. Ear plugs made in USA. Case made in China.
Caution: Do not cut ear plugs. Inspect product before use and replace plugs if they are damaged or show signs of wear. Not for prolonged use. Product intended for single user only. Keep ear plugs away from infants and small children as they may get caught in the windpipe and create a choking hazard. If you should experience pain or discomfort when using this product, please discontinue use. Caution: For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the enclosed instructions for proper fit. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire.
1. With clean hands, slowly roll plug into a thin, crease-free cylinder. 2. While compressed, insert plug into ear canal. Fitting is easier if outer ear is pulled outward and upward during insertion. 3. With fingertips, hold plug in place until it begins to expand and block noise. The degree of noise reduction depends upon proper insertion.
